---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm Emily Joel, and I was Makeup Designer on 'Honeymooner' (Feature Film in post production). I used a selection of products from 'Unmask the Beauty' for the duration of the shoot, and they were fantastic. The concealer palette and pressed powder palette were a god send and probably my favourites out of all the products. They have every colour you could need and are ideal for popping in your set bag and having all the colours to hand. The concealers are creamy, go on well and give great coverage to blemishes. This shoot was very naturalistic, so I used the neutral lip palette and natural blush palette. These are both full of a selection of lovely soft, flattering colours to suit every skin tone and colouring. The powder blushes are light and blend well, allowing you to achieve a natural look. The pallets also come in bright shades for more high fashion looks. We didn't airbrush on the Honeymooner but I still used the TSZ bases and applied them with a brush. They give a very light and natural coverage, so are ideal to even out skin tone on male actors, without looking 'made up'. They also have a fantastic spectrum of colours which can be mixed easily so you can never be caught out without the correct shade. I had taken my own extensive kit on this shoot, but needed very little in addition to the 'Unmask The Beauty' Pallets. The pallets are also very reasonably priced and fantastic value for money. What project was the makeup used for? Honeymooners (2009) Directed by Col Spector Make Up Designer- Emily Joel What Date was the Project? November 2009 What position were you i.e. Makeup Artist/ Designer/Assistant Hair & Make Up Assistant What you liked about each the makeup palettes My two favourite palettes were the pressed powder and concealer palettes- not only are these unavailable pre-arranged, they were invaluable on set! The pressed powder palette had shades ranging from translucent to dark, meaning we could match pretty much everyone on a heavy extras day, as well as using the warmer shades as a bronzer. Brilliant. The concealer palette was just as versatile- excellent coverage, creamy and easy to blend. Much better than fiddling with individual concealer pots. What you liked about the TSZ Airbrush Makeup. On this particular production, we used the TSZ Airbrushed Makeup.. without the airbrush! (I didn't know you could do that either) Was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was to use- great build-able coverage that could either be sheer or not, that didn't budge an inch. My own 12 foundation starter pack just got more versatile! What would you recommend about the products any particular type or colour On top of the 12-pack starter kit, and as above, I'll definitely be getting the powder and pressed concealer palettes. The eyeshadow palettes were wonderful too, particularly the natural shade- really soft and blend-able. What did you think about us? Martina and Unmaskthebeauty gave invaluable support to this independent feature production. By sponsoring this film with easy to use and space-saving products such as the lip, blusher, eyeshadow, concealer and pressed powder palettes, we were able to focus on the job at hand, and spend that little less time faffing! The palettes slipped easily into our set-bags and were a dream to use. I was already a TSZ Airbrush make up fan when I started, and seeing and using it applied with a brush just made it even more invaluable in my kit! I have been in contact with Martina of Unmask the beauty for a while and now and I have to say her talent, skill and dedication to the job shine through in her product choices. 1)The aspects of tanning I found most beneficial were working on live models, learning all the facts given to me by Martina enabling me to tell my clients on how to achieve the best tan they can get. 2) The tan training has helped me to build my business by giving me the confidence and information that i need to set up on my own, knowing that i am giving my clients the best tan they can get. 3) I chose unmask the beauty for my tanning course because i was given one to one tuition with Martina who is a credit to the business. 4) I would just like to say that i found this course very rewarding and i have enjoyed every minute working with Martina because the support she has given me to start my own business has been outstanding and i would highly recommend the course to anyone. - Debbie 15th Feb 2010, Airbrush Tanning Course
